Love Notes - Virtual Event

Cocktail hour at 7pm, Concert at 7:30pm

Enjoy an evening of romantic music in the comfort of your home with a virtual presentation of "Love Notes". The evening begins at 7pm with cocktails and conversation during a virtual cocktail hour. Prepare a drink of your choice or make one of the recommended cocktail recipes shown below. The concert will follow at 7:30pm. This event will take place on Zoom and is limited to recent ticket holders and recent or former season subscribers. Instructions and password for joining the Zoom meeting will be emailed to you prior to the performance. Please purchase at least 2 hours in advance to allow time to receive these instructions. 

Admission to the virtual event is by donation in any amount you choose.

Love Potion

INGREDIENTS

2 Tbsp. Sugar

1 Lime

1 oz. Malibu Rum

1 oz. Peach schnapps

1 oz. Vodka

6 oz. Cranberry juice

Ice

Strawberries (for garnish)

Makes 2 Servings

Sharp knife

Martini glasses

Cocktail shaker

Measuring cup labeled in ounces

DIRECTIONS

Place 2 Tbsp. sugar on a small plate. Cut a wedge from a lime. Run a lime wedge around each glass then dip in sugar to coat the rims. In a cocktail shaker, add 1 oz. Malibu Rum, 1 oz. peach schnapps, 1 oz. vodka and 6 oz. cranberry juice. Add a large handful of ice to cocktail shaker and shake vigorously until chilled. Strain into prepared martini glasses. Garnish with strawberries.

"Bee" Mine

INGREDIENTS

1 cup Water

1/2 cup Honey

10-12 Fresh sage leaves plus extra for garnish

Ice

4 oz. Bourbon

Orange peel

Makes 2 Servings

Rocks glasses or other low tumbler glasses

DIRECTIONS

In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup water, ½ cup honey and 10-12 fresh sage leaves to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce to low and simmer 3 minutes. Turn off heat and let syrup cool then remove sage leaves. Fill rocks glasses with ice and add 2 oz. bourbon and 3 Tbsp. cooled honey-sage syrup to each glass. Twist your orange peel directly over glass until you see the oils release. Place in glass with bourbon and garnish with a fresh sage leaf. To make a sweeter drink, add more honey-sage syrup to glass.

Chocolate Kiss

INGREDIENTS

2 Tbsp. Chocolate syrup, plus more for drizzling

3 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream

3 oz. Chocolate liqueur

3 oz. Vodka

Ice

Shaved chocolate (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

Pour chocolate syrup onto a small plate. Turn martini glasses upside down and dip rims in chocolate to coat. Drizzle the inside of each glass with chocolate syrup. In a cocktail shaker, combine 3 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream, 3 oz. Chocolate liqueur and 3 oz. Vodka. Add ice to fill shaker. Place lid on shaker and shaker vigorously about 20 seconds. Divide drink evenly between the prepared glasses. Garnish with shaved chocolate if desired.

Champagne Margarita

INGREDIENTS

2 Tbsp. Sugar

1 Lime

4 Tbsp. Rose’s Sweetened Lime Juice

2 oz. Tequila

2 oz. Triple sec

6 oz. Champagne

Ice

Makes 2 Servings

INSTRUCTIONS

Place 2 Tbsp. sugar on a small plate. Cut 3 small wedges from a lime. Set aside 2 lime wedges for garnish. Run remaining lime wedge around each glass then dip in sugar to coat the rims. Squeeze juice from remaining lime. In a cocktail shaker, add 4 Tbsp. Rose’s Sweetened Lime Juice, 2 oz. tequila, 2 oz. triple sec, juice of lime and 6 oz. champagne. Add a handful of ice to the cocktail shaker and stir gently with a long spoon. Place lid on shaker and strain drink into prepared glasses. Garnish with lime wedges.
